Xan Harding

Xan is a Hawke’s Bay grape grower and viticultural consultant, based in Bridge Pa with a strong commitment to Hawke’s Bay’s horticulture industry and to the Heretaunga Plains.

Xan holds tertiary qualifications in Environment Management, Banking, and Horticultural Science.

Xan is a longstanding water and resource management advocate for the Hawke’s Bay wine industry. He is a trustee of the Hawke’s Bay Future Farming Charitable Trust and committee member of Heretaunga Sustainable Water Inc, which represents Heretaunga’s growers and commercial users. Xan represents Heretaunga Sustainable Water members on the Heretaunga Water Storage Project.

Xan also has deep experience in local politics and governance, including in the processes of resource consenting and water management. He has held both professional and elected governance roles in Hawke’s Bay Regional Council, including chairing HBRC’s Corporate and Strategic and Joint Climate Action committees.
