Parris Greening

Parris Greening is the General Manager of Mana Ahuriri Trust, the Post-Settlement Governance Entity for Ahuriri Hapū in Te Matau a Māui.

He brings over 28 years of senior leadership experience across iwi, social services, education, and industry sectors, with a strong record in governance support, strategic planning, organisational development, and partnership leadership.

Parris works alongside trustees, hapū, local authorities, and Crown agencies to advance cultural, social, environmental, and economic outcomes and to embed settlement-derived rights and mana whenua interests into regional decision-making.

Parris holds an Executive Masters Business Administration (Massey University), along with qualifications in Māori Tourism, Social Services, Whānau Ora, and Māori Studies.

As a mana whenua shareholder representative on Heretaunga Water Storage, he is focused on ensuring the project reflects Te Tiriti o Waitangi partnership principles, supports sustainable water management, Te Mana o Te Wai and Taiao enhancements, protects cultural values, and delivers long-term benefits for whenua, wai, and whānau.
