Greig Taylor
Greig Taylor is an owner and director of Freshco, a vertically integrated Hawke’s Bay produce company specialising in apples and squash, with operations across the East Coast, Nelson and Central Otago.
His career has centred on international produce marketing, building global relationships and studying high‑performing food‑growing businesses. Now focused on the production side of Freshco, he prioritises technology, innovation, sustainability, and development of new commercial opportunities.
As Chair of Heretaunga Sustainable Water, he leads a group developing a 100‑year vision for sustainable, community‑driven water security on the Heretaunga Plains, working with Mana Whenua and local community representatives to protect water quality, support regional productivity, adapt to climate change and maintain social license to farm.
Greig is committed to supporting the region’s long‑term prosperity by strengthening the resilience of the primary sector, enhancing environmental stewardship, and ensuring communities can thrive.
